While i was surfing on the internet in order to find a map of İstanbul, i saw so many historical maps of this city and i decided to share them with you ,dear reader.. In addition, i saw some of blogs about map collection. I will give you these blog’s links but first of all, i want to share some of the historical maps..
Our first map is belong to Piri Reis,
And these maps are taken from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, University library. I was found these maps in the internet site of this university. Here the maps;
Also, i found a blog which name is "David Rumsey Historical Map Collection".
This blog is very intresting,indeed. It has lots of maps about almost every historical places from Europe to Asia. When i was searching Constantinople maps in this blog, i saw other places maps and i really enjoyed to look at them. This is the link of this blog; http://www.davidrumsey.com/. On this map, you will notice a thing if you carefully look at Bosphorus. It was written "Channel of Costaniople" in 19th century.
Lastly i found two more map on the internet site of University of Texas Lİbraries. They are also very interesting..
